Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how URGE MIAMI, LLC ("URGE Miami", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you visit urgemiami.com (the "Site") or join the URGE List. By using the Site, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details: your mobile phone number or email address, when you join the URGE List.
- ZIP code: so we can tell you about events near you.
- Consent records: whether you agreed to texts or emails, the exact consent wording you saw, the date and time, the page where you signed up, and your IP address, country and browser type at that moment.
- Messages: anything you send us when you contact us.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data: your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, the links you click, and the website or ad that sent you here (including campaign tags in the link).
- Cookies, pixels and similar tools: see section 4.
- Browser storage: the Site saves a small note in your browser so the signup pop-up does not show again after you close it or join.
Information we do not collect on the Site
You can join the URGE List from the pop-up or from the presale section of the Site. Both forms collect the same information.
We do not collect payment card details on the Site. Festival passes are sold by Eventbrite, and hotel rooms are booked directly with each hotel. Those companies collect your purchase details under their own privacy policies.
2. How we use your information
- To send you the texts or emails you signed up for, such as ticket releases, lineup news and offers.
- To understand which pages and ads work, and to improve the Site.
- To show you URGE ads on social media and to measure how those ads perform.
- To keep records of your consent, and to comply with the law.
- To prevent fraud and protect the Site.
3. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with service providers that help us run URGE Miami:
- Hive (hive.co), our email and text message platform, which stores your contact details and consent.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram), through the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API, for ad measurement and targeting. Before we send your phone number, email address or ZIP code to Meta, we scramble it with a one-way code (hashing), so Meta can match it to an account but cannot read it.
- Cloudflare, which hosts and protects the Site and stores a backup copy of signups and consent records.
- Eventbrite and our host hotels, only when you click through to buy a pass or book a room.
- Authorities or other parties, when the law requires it or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
Text messages: No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. This information will not be shared with any third parties. We use it only to send you URGE Miami messages.
4. Cookies and the Meta Pixel
The Site uses the Meta Pixel. It records when you visit the Site and when you join the URGE List, and Meta may connect this to your Facebook or Instagram account. When you join the URGE List, our server also tells Meta about the signup through the Meta Conversions API, using hashed contact details as described in section 3. We use this to measure our ads and to show URGE ads to you and to people like you. Meta's use of this data is covered by Meta's Privacy Policy.
To limit this:
- Change your ad settings in your Facebook or Instagram account under Ads Preferences.
- Opt out of interest-based ads at optout.aboutads.info.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the Site may then work differently.
Our Site does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.
5. Text message program (SMS)
Program: URGE Miami text alerts about events, lineups, ticket drops and offers.
If you join the URGE List with your phone number and check the consent box, you agree to get recurring automated marketing text messages from URGE Miami at that number. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
- Message frequency varies.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to cancel at any time. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at [email protected].
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- See our Terms for the full text message terms.
6. Your choices
- Emails: click "unsubscribe" in any email.
- Texts: reply STOP to any message.
- Access or deletion: email [email protected] to ask what information we hold about you, or to ask us to correct or delete it. We may need to confirm your identity. We will keep a record of your opt-out so we respect it.
Depending on where you live (for example California or the European Union), you may have more rights under local law, such as the right to know, correct, delete or move your data, or to object to its use for targeted ads. Email us to use these rights. We will not treat you differently for using them.
7. How long we keep your information
We keep your contact details while you are on the URGE List, and for a reasonable time after you leave, for our records. We keep consent and opt-out records for as long as the law requires.
8. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information. No website or online service is completely secure.
9. Age
The Site and URGE events are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a minor gave us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will change the date at the top when we do. Big changes will be posted on the Site.
